Rough Drafts 2011—2015 by Public-Library
This is a collection of the thoughts that were never realized, images that never materialized, visions that did not translate. We decided not to allow these things to disappear. They are the studies whose failures and shortcomings led to something more. Design does not set out to be perfect. Perfect is relative, perfect is frail. Design is allowed to develop, design is allowed to fail. Design is wrong until it becomes familiar. Only when it is recognizable does it become successful.
Our studio is about failure. Our process is about the truth found in bad and ugly instincts. Understanding the wrong creates the context for the right.
Embrace the bad. Accept the good.
