Alejandro Franco / SLKTR by Bienal
"Alejandro Franco is one of the most important music journalists in Latin America. Throughout his career, Alejandro has interviewed world-class musicians such as Robert Smith of The Cure, Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys, Gustavo Cerati of Soda Stereo and Andy Fletcher of Depeche Mode, and collaborated with media platfroms like W Radio, Telehit, Rolling Stone and Sony Entertainment Television. Also, Alejandro founded and directs WARP Magazine.
His talent has allowed him to cover the most important music festivals in the world, including the Love Parade in Berlin and Coachella in California, in addition to directing a documentary about the Glastonbury festival in England.
Under the name SLKTR, Alejandro creates eclectic and adaptable DJ sets, while the more elegant, accurate and cutting-edge selections are presented under the brand Alejandro Franco.
Inspired by the personality and ideology of Alejandro, a brand monogram was designed with his initials linking his name with serious and contemporary typography. The monogram shape allows it to be used in different formats and settings, leaving a personal brand that conveys authority and elegance.
For SLKTR we designed a logo close to its beginnings in the radio, with a typeface inspired by the 8-bit computing architecture, which dates back to the selection of music software used on most major radio stations in the world."
