New York Central / AM – PM by Haider Muhdi
New York Central is an audio experiment designed to show how sound can aid our conscious from the tedious loop-cycle which we call 'the daily commute'. A harmonic arrangement of melody to soothe body, mind and soul at two definitive points of the day. The 9am hustle and the 5pm escape. Side 1: AM is a voyage of complex sound engineered to stimulate productive efficiency. While, Side 2: PM seeks to reductively simplify the same sound, making the conscious feel more 'at ease'.
The typographic identity visually celebrates that duality. The two marques share the same inherent form but negatively articulated. Purposeful guidance to help us transition from AM to PM.
