For the 2019 edition of Berlin’s Pop-Kultur festival, Fertig Design presents the unknown

Pop-Kultur is an annual 3-day festival in Berlin with a lineup of live music, talks, exhibitions and films. Since its first iteration in 2015, audiences of over 10,000 come together to see musicians and artists from all over the world.

The 2019 edition, that took place at Berlin’s Kulturbrauerei arts complex from 21-23 August, was branded by local studio Fertig Design. Building on 2018’s identity which revolved around beautiful valley environments, Fertig took the festival to a place as far undiscovered and spectacular as possible: space. The surreal galactic images represent the festival’s search for the unknown and interconnectivity. Solar systems become pop universes, milky ways turn into music scenes and stars are the pop stars. The logotype is evolved from the horizontal version of previous years to mirror the more playful slanted typographic treatment that was introduced for 2019.
