Eike König, Patrick Thomas and more create posters to raise awareness of plastic pollution
Plastic pollution is one of the largest problems concerning the future of our planet. Eight million tonnes of waste plastic ends up in our oceans every year – fish eat it, and then we do. One million plastic bottles are bought every minute. Plastic is everywhere.
To help raise awareness of the issues, Berlin-based non-profit Plastaway has launched Artists Against Plastic Pollution. They invited 15 artists including Eike König and Patrick Thomas to contribute a poster design. The brief was: inspire people to reduce their consumption of single-use plastics. Each A3 poster is a limited edition of 30 and is screen-printed in 2 colours onto acid-free white paper. All of the artists have worked for free and 100% of sales go directly to charity.
