Escola and Kalo create a multi-sensory campaign for Liverpool’s Food & Drink Week

Liverpool’s Food & Drink Week celebrates the city’s variety of restaurants, cafés and bars through an annual array of offers, masterclasses and events. The 2019 edition took place between 27th May and 2nd June and was promoted with a multi-sensory campaign designed collaboratively by local studios Escola and Kalo.

At the centre of the campaign are a series of handcrafted sculptures that aim to promote the city’s homegrown, fresh food. The studios spent up to three days perfecting each sculpture using a range of coloured G . F Smith stocks. The campaign promotes a realistic diet, with everything from burgers and beers to tomatoes and prawns making an appearance. As well as posters, die-cut flyers were scattered around the city’s eatery’s, encouraging locals to get involved with the papercraft by making their own biscuits, cocktail glasses and more.
