British style magazine The Face established itself as a cultural trailblazer during the 80s and 90s before ceasing publication in 2004. Born in London in 1980, the magazine was at the heart of international creativity and was instrumental in launching Kate Moss’ career as a supermodel.

Now, in 2019, The Face is reborn and comes with design and art direction courtesy of Munich-based Bureau Borsche. The new magazine proudly retains the original’s vision and principals as a forward-thinking, culture-shifting publication. It flys the flag for provocative, rigorous, long-form journalism, delivered with a passionate and punk aesthetic. Bureau Mirko Borsche created three bespoke typefaces that capture the spirit of the original magazine’s design.

The first issue of the new era features four cover stars: Dua Lipa, Harry Styles, Rosalía and Tyler, The Creator. New issues will arrive quarterly whilst original content is delivered all year round on theface.com.
