Le Garage by Building Paris

Building Paris designed the identity and signage for Le Garage, a former vehicle garage that’s been restored into an art centre in Amboise, France.

In collaboration with Simon Penard-Philippe, they developed a bespoke monospace typeface inspired by number plates. It forms part of an identity system that can be easily applied to marketing materials by the in-house design team to support the biannual exhibition programme. The flexible grid system uses dividing strips that house the information alongside a series of language-defining symbols.
