Pinterest, the world’s largest catalogue of ideas, commissioned global design agency Kurppa Hosk to refine their visual identity and brand story. Pinterest has evolved from a bookmarking tool to a way for anyone to search, save, organise and share inspiration and the company’s identity needed to grow to reflect that.
Kurppa Hosk developed the new visual identity in line with Pinterest’s vision of ‘unlocking creativity’, which describes the brand’s desire to inspire people to create, regardless of gender and field of interest. This is communicated via a graphic interpretation of ‘the pin’ itself. Typography, iconography and illustrations are small and large, colourful and playful, reflecting the scale and range of content available on Pinterest.
