re-publica 2019 by Fertig Design

re-publica is Europe’s largest conference on the topics of internet and society. The 2019 edition took place in Berlin with a theme of ‘tl:dr’ or ‘too long didn’t read’; focusing on tackling the dangers of simplifying and shortening information online.

Berlin based studio Fertig Design created an entirely typographic identity for the event that explains both the intentions of the festival and the items the text is printed on. They also created a 450m long installation of Moby Dick, with the full text of the novel printed on a banner spanning throughout the entire venue.
