Sight Unseen OFFSITE by Kokoro & Moi

In May 2014, influential online magazine Sight Unseen launched Sight Unseen OFFSITE, a satellite design exhibition featuring works by Sight Unseen’s handpicked emerging design talents, established cutting-edge design brands, and a series of pop-up shops. Sight Unseen OFFSITE maintained the spirit of Sight Unseen’s previous ICFF festival – Noho Design District, a curated series of events and installations in New York’s Noho neighborhood that quickly became known as New York Design Week’s hippest and most exciting incubator for new ideas and talents.

For 2014, Sight Unseen OFFSITE took over two floors of raw space in a 17,000 square foot landmarked Soho building located at the corner of Lafayette and Broome, bringing for the first time all the exhibitors together in one dynamic space. Sight Unseen OFFSITE coincided with the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) and was a featured project of NYCxDESIGN.

Kokoro & Moi was responsible for the Sight Unseen OFFSITE identity as well as the art direction and design of all promotional material, from the exhibition graphics to the website. The identity is a playful combination of the Sight Unseen identity with an OFFSITE add-on, invoking a temporary feel befitting a migrating exhibition. The dynamic and colorful elements create a graphic system that adapts effortlessly to a variety of functions – including a labelling system in the exhibition space.
