UPPER is an annual techno music festival that takes place in the Polish city of Katowice. Its three dimensional, jellyfish-centric identity, by Cracow-based studio Radość Agency, is designed to reflect the multisensory, boundary-pushing experience provided by the curated lineup of renowned artists.

Fix Your Future is a recruiter for jobs in the civil engineering industry in the Netherlands. They aim to help build a more sustainable future by placing candidates into roles that include smart mobility, circular building and climate adaption.

Amsterdam-based Studio JOA’s identity for the matchmaker aims to challenge the way recruitment agencies are perceived. The graphic system makes use of Studio Feixen’s Sans Edgy Bold and references Dutch road signs due to their place as one of the main expressions of civil engineering.

Jessica Schuster Design is a New York-based interior design studio with an output that maintains a balance between the unusual and the familiar.

The studio’s identity, by Paris-based Martine, is inspired by Jessica’s artistic and feminine style, and the powerful use of colour and wavy forms in her work. The diversity of her work is represented by the combined use of the calligraphic typeface Agentur and the contrasting extended sans serif Adieu.

Nora Eglesz is a Hungary-born, Austria-based makeup artist that works in film, fashion and editorial. She specialises in the use of cruelty-free vegan products and has become an influential ambassador within the industry.

Vienna-based studio KR8 designed Nora’s visual identity, implementing a sassy tone of voice and a pair of contrasting typefaces that represents her reputation as an outspoken personality and industry leader.

Kolkata Chai Co is New York City’s most authentic masala chai café. Chai has been repeatedly bastardised in the western world, very rarely representing its origins in the Indian city of Kolkata. The café’s aim, through its visual communication as well as its product, is to tell a more authentic story about the tea beverage.

The visual identity, by freelance designer Badal Patel, avoids any romanticised Indian clichés, instead choosing to embrace the spirit and culture of Kolkata city through a huge palette of juxtaposing typefaces and colour.
