Harry BennettMOUTHWASH Studio’s typographic identity for Artworld provides a platform for their creative talent
Based in New York and London, creative representation agency Artworld pairs the latest, greatest and most thoughtful artistic talent with like-minded projects and brands, striving to see forward-thinking creatives prosper in digital and commercial spaces.
Reflecting this approach, Los Angeles-based MOUTHWASH Studio developed Artworld’s confident visual identity and website, providing a striking and stoic framework that allows each individual artist to vibrantly flourish. Existing in a primarily digital space, the typographic identity champions the collaborations Artworld fosters through the introduction of the ‘Artworld Disc.’ Effortlessly at home within the wordmark or on its own as the logo, the ‘O’ shaped symbol sits in harmony with Commercial Type’s Graphik as the identity’s primary typeface.
Sitting alongside Graphik is Production Type’s extensive serif family Cardinal, which introduces an aesthetic representative of the individuality and eccentricity of the creatives behind the scenes. Providing a compelling juxtaposition to the wordmark’s commanding presence, Cardinal and its flourishing serifs bring an elegant tension and hierarchy to the identity.
