The Worm showcases over 200 images from NASA’s archives chosen with one simple criteria: each photograph must feature their iconic 'worm' logo. Together, these images demonstrate not only the extent to which Richard Danne and Bruce Blackburn’s 1975 NASA Graphic Programme had been implemented before being rescinded in 1992, but also the incredible achievements by NASA personnel. Treating his Instagram account like a graphic design gym, Bochum-based designer Cihan Tamti worked on a poster every single day over the past few years. Creating without constraints, the results are experimental and reflect work that no normal agency would ever approve. Such freedom of approach allowed him to develop designs with expressive typography and complex compositions and as a result, he won several competitions and clients along the way. Breakout – 100 Posters collates 100 of Tamti's designs, ranging from self-initiated creations to real commissioned work.
