Founded and directed by London-based architect Jack Self, Real Review is a quarterly magazine exploring ‘what it means to live today’ through insightful, timely and engaging contributions from the world’s finest writers. Real Review 11, titled ‘What To Believe,’ investigates how the trauma of the pandemic has become an excuse for global capital to accelerate the total commodification of everyday life. Now, everything is for sale. There is more merchandise than love and more sponsored content than truth. As a coping mechanism, many people have decided to check out from reality altogether; preferring to inhabit tailor-made fantasies and simulations. Contributors include philosopher Timothy Morton, physicist Carlo Rovelli, economist Chiara Di Leone, and many more. Get your copy

Nachume Miller (1949-98) was a German-born Israeli painter who rose to prominence in the United States after immigrating to New York in 1974. His first major exhibition was the Guggenheim’s Young American Artists: 1978 Exxon National Exhibition, making him the youngest artist ever to present work at the museum. He also exhibited at Exit Art, MoMA and the E.M. Donahue Gallery. Throughout his career, Miller kept an almost daily record of his creative process. This monograph compiles pages from his sketchbooks spanning the years 1976 to 1998; providing insight into his life, work and inventive practices. Meticulously dated, the sketchbooks are filled with plans and ideas for potential paintings, expressive watercolours and drawings, diary entries about family life, commentary on the art world, notes to himself and simple to-do lists.
