Thaipography captures British designer Tim Sumner's visual journey across the Kingdom of Thailand. It illustrates an eclectic collection of typographic forms, produced on a great variety of different materials, found in their natural environment.
Capturing these images became a daily obsession during Sumner's time in the country. He began to notice various objects, which are usually overlooked as banal elements of everyday life. The book and its accompanying bespoke typeface were conceived as a way to showcase this pictorial archive and allow everyone else to gain a fresh perspective and appreciation for ‘Thaipography.'
