Layla PanamTYPEONE Issue Two explores the forward-thinking methods behind the world of kinetic typography
TYPEONE is a bi-annual magazine that fuses type mediums with mainstream topics such as culture, business, technology, innovation, global issues and more. Kinetic typography has experienced exponential growth in recent times due to the advancement of both typography and motion technologies. The second issue of TYPEONE explores the methods, logic and leading creatives behind this exciting niche, using QR code technology to translate static content into moving imagery.
For the cover, TYPEONE teamed up with Hamburg-based artist Gydient to create a lenticular design that demonstrates the optical illusion of movement. By tilting the cover from left to right, the number two on the cover appears to straighten out. This effect was achieved using QR code technology to convert static content into dynamic imagery.
