Trit by SPGD

Australian design studio SPGD created the identity for Trit, a designer furniture company with stores in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. The brief was to re-imagine the company as a designer furniture boutique and move them away from their previous name, Clickon Furniture.

The name Trit derives from the 1st letters of the owners names, combined with those of their children, and creates a new word that rolls off the tongue in one syllable. The custom logotype reflects the quality and sturdiness of the furniture found in Trit’s stores. The tight tracking of the letters emphasises the closeness of the family, as well as creating shapes in the negative spaces which resemble silhouettes of homeware.
