Founded in 2007, Papier is the leading contemporary art fair in the Canadian city of Montreal, playing host to an audience that includes art enthusiasts, professionals and tourists. Usually only housing work created on paper, the 2019 edition, held between 26-28 April, was the first time that other mediums were showcased, opening up the fair to a wider range of contemporary art practices.

Local studio Principal once again created the identity and campaign, building on the system they introduced in 2017 and evolved in 2018. 2019’s identity flows between blocks of flat colour and vibrant gradients, balanced with elegant typography set in the sans serif Neue Haas Grotesk.
