Commerce-UI
Lead Digital Designer
We're looking for an experienced digital designer to help us build delightful ecommerce experiences. If you're keen to work for the world's best ecommerce brands, in an environment that combines aesthetics, strict UX requirements and close collaboration with developers, this might be an excellent opportunity for you.
For years Commerce-UI has been a tech company focused mostly on e-commerce development. On the design part we collaborated with external world-class teams such as Pentagram, Ania&Lucie, and Bruno Ferdinand. While this approach has many advantages, it’s becoming more and more challenging to keep the level of responsiveness our clients expect and deserve. Therefore, we decided to do more design work in-house and we’re looking for someone who can help us make it a reality.
Here’s what you’d do:
Provide a very strong UI/UX e-commerce insight for customers.
Work closely with our developers, help them with design-related decisions.
Design new screens and ideas on top of existing brands while keeping visual consistency.
Nurture the relationships with external design teams when working in collaborative mode.
Design entire projects in-house without external teams.
Oversee the company’s marketing content (website, Instagram, documents, etc).
(would be great) Share our work and experiences in articles, conferences, webinars etc.
The most critical requirement is that you live and breath design thinking and UX. You should be able to talk to clients about their e-commerce problems and work iteratively to find the most elegant and usable solutions. Of course visual appeal and consistency are crucial too, our clients are very design-driven. But this role is as much about aesthetics as about design thinking with many challenges rooted in UX, not just in visuals.
