Layla PanamTYPEONE Magazine’s 5th issue explores the intricate connection between branding and typography
TYPEONE, a bi-annual magazine produced by TYPE01, merges typography with mainstream topics such as culture, business, technology, innovation and global issues. With its cutting-edge content and constantly-evolving design, it has quickly become the leading magazine for typography in the industry. As a result, we at The Brand Identity were thrilled when invited to be Guest Editor for TYPEONE’s fifth issue, marking a first for the magazine.
This issue’s theme, Branding x Typography, perfectly aligns with our passion for these two inter-connected topics. As Guest Editor, we have curated 136 pages of editorial content exploring the intricate connections between them, shedding light on areas that have been under-explored, overlooked, or not fully understood.
To create the cover design, we reached out to Dutch artist and graphic designer Daan Rietbergen. In response, he infused his signature bold approach to typography and created a custom number for us, which takes pride in place on the front of the magazine.
