Elliott MoodyToohey Creative brands Yes Chef!, a home dining solution for Australian's in need during the lockdown
Grand Pacific Group, an event operator based out of Sydney, has created home dining solution Yes Chef! in response to the coronavirus-enforced self-isolation regulations. The service offers a range of premium ‘heat and eat’ comfort dishes, aiming to provide a little bit of convenience and decadence during the lockdown. Local studio Toohey Creative was commissioned to brand Yes Chef! within a minuscule timescale so the service could be made available to those in need.
The studio accepted the challenge and returned a few days later with a personality-packed visual identity. At its core is an energetic, positive wordmark set in Letters from Sweden’s Ivar Display Condensed Extra Bold. It’s oversized use, combined with a ‘chilli red’ and ‘deep aubergine’ colour palette, provide a homely yet sophisticated feel. Characterful illustrations and a reassuring tone of voice add an extra layer of charm to an already charming solution.
